Clematis 'Barbara'

Large flowered variety from Poland. Vivid purplish red with lighter spots, fading to purplish red in autumn with a deep purplish-red bar. Filaments pink, paler towards the base; anthers deep purple. Named after Szczepan Marczynski's wife. If light pruned in the UK will flower May, June, August and September.
