Clematis 'The Queen'

Large, pale lavender flowers with brown-purple anthers. According to Johnson, the flowers are fragrant with a "sharp scent of cowslip". This cultivar is mentioned by Markham (1935) and Whitehead (1959) but now appears to be lost from cultivation - please contact us if you know otherwise.
