Clematis 'Helena'
White flowers with yellowish stamens. This cultivated form of patens was introduced from Japan in 1836 by von Siebold but now appears to be lost from cultivation.
In the plate from L'Illustration Horticole 1854, 'Helena' is the right-hand flower.
