Clematis 'Louis Van Houtte' (Cripps)

Large pale violet flowers with white-brown anthers. Not to be confused with the cultivar of the same name introduced by Lemoine in France at the same time. The last listing given by Magnus Johnson for this cultivar is in 1935, Riekstina has the name on a list of 77 cultivars introduced into Latvia between 1870 and 1910. It now appears to be lost from cultivation - please contact us if you know otherwise.
