Clematis 'Louis Van Houtte' (Lemoine)

Large, semi-double, blue-lilac flower with brown anthers on yellow filaments. Not to be confused with the cultivar of the same name introduced by Cripps in England at the same time. The last listing given by Magnus Johnson for this cultivar is in 1935, Riekstina has the name on a list of 77 cultivars introduced into Latvia between 1870 and 1910. It now appears to be lost from cultivation - please contact us if you know otherwise.
