Clematis 'Fujimusume'

Large, sky-blue flowers with cream-yellow anthers. The name 'Fujimusume' means 'Girl Under Wisteria Bloom' and is the title of a girl's solo dance.

The International Clematis Register and Checklist 2002 gives the parentage of this cultivar as 'Asagasumi' x 'The President' on the basis that 'Asagiri' had not been traced and was probably an error. Just before the Register went to print, 'Asagiri' was traced and included, however the reference to a probable mistake was overlooked and went uncorrected.
