Clematis 'Clocheton'

Bell-shaped, deep blue flowers in profusion, tepals inside are purple-red. White anthers. According to Markham's 1935 book, the blooms are borne singly on long stalks and have wavy margins. A herbaceous clematis which can make a substantial bush. References to it are few, and we wonder if it is lost from cultivation. Please contact us if you know otherwise.
