Clematis 'Brewster'

'Brewster' is from the montana group, found as a seedling by Brewster Rogerson and named by the Pacific Northwest Clematis Society in his honour. It has unusually large flowers for a montana consisting of four rose-pink sepals, paler towards the base and barred rose on the outside. The flower has white filaments and yellow anthers and boasts a strong vanilla scent. The young growth is bronze-red and retains the colour for a long time.
