Clematis x cartmanii 'Sharon'

This cultivar came to our attention through correspondent Mike Ireland who photographed it at the Newcastle Amateur Gardening Society show in 1989. To the best of his recollection it was exhibited by Henry and Margaret Taylor. The Fourth Supplement to the International Clematis Register and Checklist 2002 notes that this is "apparently a sibling of C. x cartmanii 'Joe'".
