Small, nodding, urn-shaped flowers. Purple, reddish-purple or bluish-purple tepals, white on the tips, cream on the inside and which recurve slightly. Anthers cream to grey-yellow on cream or greenish white filaments. Introduced to cultivation, from the mountains of Virginia USA in 1902.
