Clematis 'Bells of Emei Shan'

Nodding, leathery, bell-shaped, fragrant, mid- to bright yellow flowers, longer than those of repens which it resembles. The tepals spread in the upper third or quarter and the tips recurve with age. There is discussion as to whether this is a form of repens or possibly a new species. Until this has been decided the form has been given a cultivar name. Collected as seed from Emei Shan, Sichuan, China by Dan Hinkley in 1996.
