Clematis 'Barry'

Small, bell-shaped, plum-purple flowers. The staminodes are whitish with a purple tint. New growth reddish brown to shiny black, ageing to brownish black. Named for two Barrys: Mary Toomey's husband and that of her friend Jane Sterndale-Bennett.
