Small, cowslip-scented, tubular or bell-shaped flowers, pale yellow or pale green. flowers. The tips of the tepals roll back exposing a tuft of bright yellow stamens. Introduced from western China in 1908. The variety has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
