Small to medium sized, semi-double, broadly bell-shaped, dark purple flowers with midribs which fade with age. Fruit heads persistent.

Further detail:	Flower diameter: 8cm Tepals: 4; 5cm long, 2.5cm wide, elliptic, touching at base, margins slightly recurving, tips long-pointed and slightly twisted. Staminodes 5-12, spatulate, less than half the length of sepals, pale violet.
