Medium sized flowers, double in the spring. Pale red tepals with a darker red-purple margin and a faint purple stripe. Dark red stamens bearing yellow anthers. The breeder would classify this in the Patens Group which the International Clematis Register and Checklist treats as a subset of the Early Large-flowered Group.
