Clematis 'Lady Bird Johnson'

Small, textured, deep purple-red flowers with a crimson bar. The edges of the tepals become more purple with age. Cream or pale yellow anthers. Named for the wife of US President Lyndon B Johnson who did much work towards the conservation of wild plants in Texas.
