Clematis 'Anna German'

Large violet-blue flowers with a paler bar and pale yellow anthers. Originally this variety was named 'Blagodatj', meaning 'Blessing', but this was later changed to 'Anna German' after a well known Polish singer (1936-1982). 'German' is the transliteration used by Russians (see, for instance, Riekstina's books) but the International Register originally had 'Herman' - altered back to 'German' in the first Supplement.
