Clematis cirrhosa var purpurascens 'Lansdowne Gem'

This evergreen sport of cirrhosa 'Freckles' was found in 1995 in New Zealand by M L Jerard, who also named it. The medium sized, bell-shaped flowers are a dull claret colour and have cream anthers.
