Clematis apiifolia

Small greeny-white, flat, star-shaped flowers with long cream stamens. Whitehead (1959) suggests that 'apiifolia' was introduced into the UK from Japan in 1869, Toomey & Leeds (2001) say that it came "into cultivation" in England c1898.
