Clematis armandii

Scented, white or cream-white flowers, often becoming flushed with pink. Anthers cream or pale yellow. Requires shelter from cold winds. Large, leathery evergreen foliage, bronze when young. Introduced from China by Ernest Wilson in 1900 and named for Père Armand David, a French missionary.
