Clematis on the Web :: clematis detail
Clematis x vedrariensis

Small, single, rose-pink flowers with a prominent central boss of yellow stamens. The cross took place in 1911 at the Vilmorin-Andrieux nursery in Verrières-le-Buisson outside Paris, the first flowers appeared in 1913 and the form was exhibited in 1914.

The parentage of this cultivar was long thought to be chrysocoma x montana var rubens but research by Christopher Grey-Wilson indicates that it is more probably montana (? Var montana) x spooneri
