Clematis 'Musashino' (Sakurai)

Very large white flowers, sometimes with a pale purple tinge towards the base of the tepals. White filaments and anthers. Not to be confused with a second Japanese cultivar (see 'Musashino' (Takeuchi)) whose transliteration confusingly comes out the same in Western script - though they are clearly different in the original language. In this case, 'Musashino' is the old name of Kanto district.
