Clematis 'Amethystina'
Although the history of this cultivar is well documented, it disappears from the literature before the end of the 19th century and is presumed lost to cultivation. Magnus Johnson describes it as having flowers 'somewhat larger' than viticella and as being 'dark blue to pale greyish lavender'.
