Clematis 'Christine'

A beautiful pale lavender clematis which flowers both fully- and semi-double at the same time. Slight red stripe when first opened. Anthers cream with red connective. Found in a show garden labelled 'John Innes', but extensive research suggests that this referred to the compost it was planted in! (John Innes is a UK horticultural supplier.) The cultivar is named after the daughter of Steve and Jan Bird of Lincoln Green Nurseries who grew the plant on and introduced it to the market.
