Clematis 'Propertius'

Macropetala type. Strongly scented, large mauve-pink flowers. Outer tepals edged in white. Inner tepals paler pink. Will thrive in any position but scent will be stronger if grown in the sun. One of a series of twenty hybrids of C. koreana var. fragrans raised by Magnus Johnson of Sweden in 1979 and named after Roman authors. In this case the pollen-parent was 'Rosy O'Grady'.
