Clematis 'The Blue Cross'

Dark to mid-blue flowers. The tepals are long and thin and the edges show a tendency to roll under, emphasising the cross-shape. White staminodes. The petaloid staminodes are similar in colour to the main tepals, or somewhat paler, and form a daffodil-like trumpet. Named by Richard Green.

Founded in 1897, The Blue Cross is Britain's Pet Charity; it provides care for pets and horses and promotes companionship to enhance animal and human lives.
