Clematis 'Nelly Moser'

Large pale mauve-pink flowers - fading to white with time and/or strong sun - with a deep purple-pink bar. Red-purple to brown-red anthers. The flowers need protection from full sun to prevent fading. In 1912, William Robinson in his book 'The Virgin's Bower' lists this cultivar as "trusted to give lovely effects if culture and position be all [it] deserves." RHS Award of Garden Merit in 1993.
