Clematis 'Honcho'

Nodding, bell-shaped, scented, purple flowers with lavender-blue margins; inside mid-violet with paler margins. Yellow anthers on cream filaments; pistils pale green. Fruit heads persistent. 'Honcho' is an American term meaning "boss" or "big shot"; this seedling had the largest flowers of any in the same batch (which included 'Skylark').
