Clematis 'Sharpie'

Medium sized, semi-double rich red-purple flowers. White filaments, flushed purple at the base, greenish yellow towards the tip; connectives green; anthers white. Named after the spiky look of the flowers but also the nickname of "The Little Sharpie" given to Brewster Rogerson by his students. Initially this seedling was given the tentative name 'Spikey', but that epithet was never established and was amended for registration to avoid potential confusion with Zospi SPIKY.)
