Clematis patens 'Kanasashi'

Medium sized, semi-double, flowers, outside with a red-purple midrib; inside white or pinkish white, often with distinct, pale pink bar where midrib shows through (particularly on outer sepals). Filaments white or pale pink; connectives maroon; anthers white. A form, apparently of wild patens, native to Kanasashi Japan Shizuoka Prefecture. Its natural habitat has now been lost to development.
