Large flowers, inside opening vivid purple, maturing to brilliant violet with a vivid violet bar, ageing to light violet with a light violet bar; outside opening moderate purple, maturing to light violet with a very pale purple bar. Stamens c.60; filaments light purple; anthers dark purple.
