The fourth supplement to the International Clematis Register and Checklist 2002 notes that: "Although published by R Hodson in The Clematis 2011 as a cultivar, the Yaku Nursery website [December 2011] makes clear that a range of seedlings are grown under this name; it is not currently clear whether they form a distinct, uniform and stable cultivar, or whether instead they should properly be treated as Fluffy Duck Cultivar Group."
