Clematis 'Maiden's Dream'

Large, flat, pale purple flowers with a pale yellow-green bar; outside pale violet with a yellow-green bar; over time the bar colour comes to resemble that of the tepal. Filaments pale yellow-green; connectives and anthers greyish purplish red; pollen yellow-white. Pistils yellow-white. Seed-heads persistent.

"When this clematis starts to flower the sepals are slightly pinkish and the centre of the flower has a faint yellow colour. The contrast of these colours is reminiscent of a pure maiden's dream."
