Small, flat or flattish light violet flowers, becoming very pale violet in the centre and towards the base of the sepals. Flowers semi-double on old growth, single on new. Filaments white; connectives and anthers light yellow-green.
Xichun, was one of the twelve beauties of Jinling in "A Dream of Red Mansions".
