Clematis 'Prairie River' (Zubrowski)

Violet-blue flowers shading to paler blue at the base of each tepal. Named for the town in Saskatchewan, Canada where it was raised. Stanley Zubrowski says that his "original was given to John Fopma of Holland [and I] assume he distributed it to others in Europe". (Letter Feb 2003)
