Clematis 'Lilacina Floribunda' (1890)

Pale violet to rich purple flowers with red anthers, tinged violet on bar and margin. Free flowering on old and new growth. Suitable for climbing through small trees and shrubs. The International Clematis Register and Checklist 2002 notes that "the view that this cv is synonymous with 'Guiding Star' (Late large-flowered group) is widely accepted, but the parentages are different".
