Clematis CLAIRE DE LUNE 'Evirin'

Large white flowers, suffused lilac-blue, darker towards the wavy edges of the tepals. Red anthers. Changes to pale lilac in full sun. This cultivar was named BLUE MOON by the EMI entertainment group to commemorate its centenary, however it transpired that a German company has the rights to that name for all plants and so, in 2003, the trade name was changed to CLAIRE DE LUNE.
