The so-called 'English Form' of 'Frances Rivis' is intermediate in form between the true 'Frances Rivis' (sometimes called the 'Dutch Form') and 'Blue Dancer'. Indeed, the International Clematis Register and Checklist 2002 suggests that some plants sold in the UK and France as 'Frances Rivis' may indeed be 'Blue Dancer'.
