Small, nodding, urn-shaped, flowers, red-purple outside with narrow white margin near tip. Inside, creamy white. The name means "pressing and cutting" in Japanese but Mr Ozawa often named his clematis after the small villages in Kanagawa, Japan, that he knew as a youth and this is the more likely source of the name.
