Bell-shaped, nodding, very pale purple flowers with vivid violet veins. Green-yellow anthers and filaments. Fruit heads persistent. Unusually pale foliage. Named for Roelie van der Meulen a Dutch clematis enthusiast.
This clematis is not the same as the large-flowered hybrid raised by Brian Collingwood, tentatively named Roelie, illustrated in The Clematis 2007.
