'Richard Pennell'

Large rosy-purple to purple-blue or violet flowers with a deep pink or purple-violet bar. Cream or yellow anthers on red or purple filaments. Named in 1974 by Walter Pennell after his son. The variety has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
