Pinkish-purple flowers with blue-mauve veining. Red-purple anthers on pinkish filaments. Robin Savill notes in his catalogue that "this cultivar was christened, with a glass of wine, by Magnus Johnson at the 1994 International Clematis Society conference in Elmshorn, Germany."
