Medium-sized, single, bright blue flowers borne in clusters. The sepals are whitish towards the base and have a lighter bar. 'Zagadka' has white filaments and yellow anthers. Named by Professor M A Beskaravainaya, this was the first cultivar to be bred in the former Soviet Union using a chemical to produce new plants. The name means 'Enigma'.
