Clematis 'Grand Duchess'

Very large, bluish-white flowers with brownish-purple anthers. This Cripps' cultivar is mentioned by Markham (1935) and Whitehead (1959) but now appears to be lost from cultivation - please contact us if you know otherwise. In 1912, William Robinson in his book 'The Virgin's Bower' lists this cultivar as "trusted to give lovely effects if culture and position be all [it] deserves."
