Clematis 'André Leroy'

A large-flowered form with violet tepals. Named for the French pomologist (apple expert). This name appears in Moore and Jackman (1877) and in Spingarn's 1935 lists but it now seems lost to cultivation. If you know otherwise, or have further details, please get in touch.
