Clematis 'Hatherly'
Clematis 'Hatherly' was a seedling of tibetana vernayi, probably crossed with tangutica, had lantern-shaped flowers with thick orange-yellow tepals and was raised at the Hatherly Laboratories, University of Exeter. This information came, verbally, from the then head of the laboratories and is recorded in a Devon NCCPG publication "The Magic Tree".
Our thanks to Trevor Wood for this information.
