Clematis 'Miss Bateman'
White rounded flowers, initially striped green. Reddish-brown stamens. A hybrid of 'Fortunei' x 'Standishii' raised by Charles Noble and introduced in 1869. Named after Miss Catherine Bateman, daughter of James Bateman, renowned orchid grower. The variety has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
