Clematis patens (Chinese Form)

Very pale blue flowers with prominent red anthers. An important clematis, one of the large flowered species used in the early crosses, resulting in the first large flowered hybrids. The name 'patens' refers to the fact that the plane of the tepals is at right-angles to the stem.
