Large, wavy-edged tepals which are violet with a lighter, more purple-red bar. The anthers are grey-purple-red. The colour and shape of the flower depend on the growing conditions - hence the name (Mister X). 'Mister Iks' is also the main character of Emmerick Kálmán's musical 'The Princess of the Circus'.
